Paddleboarding at Spot on Wake was a great activity for adults and children alike, as long as you didn’t want to stay dry!

Spot on Wake is a watersports destination that's located in rural Warwickshire. It has 3 custom designed lakes and is ideal for all levels of wakeboarder from beginner to expert. Alongside wakeboarding, there is a whole range of other water-based activities available.

Booking is online and you complete the waiver before booking so when you arrive it is really quick to let reception know you have arrived. Children age 6+ can participate.

The sessions are an hour long and there is a maximum of 8 people in a session.

You have to arrive half an hour before your time slot to get wet suits and life jackets on. They are included in the price.

We arrived with swim suits on ready. Make sure you remember your towel though. There is a dry seating area for spectators and reception sell drinks.

Once we were suited up we were given some tips and advice before being helped onto the boards and set adrift on the water.

The principles were simple to understand but tougher for some of our group to put into practice than others. Only one person that tried to stand stayed dry, the rest of us took several soakings but the water wasn’t too cold so it added to the fun.

The children in our group were worn out from all the climbing back on the boards they did within the hour, the time was perfect, no one stopped paddling before the time was up and there was plenty of time to improve our skills.  

Staff were helpful but left us to it for most of the session which suited us.

There are toilets and changing rooms to change in at the end of the session, in a small wooden block. Everything was clean and functional. Take some shoes that are easy to slip on when you have taken off your wet suit as you have to cross the car park to get to the toilets.

Paddleboarding was only £12 a person and we all felt this was well worth the money for the fun we had.

We will definitely go back and there is also an Aqua Jungle for 8+ years, as well as the wake boarding available on site.
