Hi! My name is Michelle. I am the founder and MD of Glo-Babies and I wanted to tell you a bit about myself and how Glo-Babies started.

I studied BA (Hons) Business Studies Birmingham University and initially progressed into a retail management programme. Very quickly I decided that I would like to work with children and so embarked upon a Teaching training course. I gained teaching experience in Primary Schools across the West Midlands and Warwickshire working in key stages 1 and 2.  I also completed a year in SEN.

It was probably here that the idea of Glo-Babies first hatched. I often had to find alternative methods of teaching to engage the children in my care and using lights and music always seemed to excite which is so important. Learning should always be fun.

My career took a pause to raise my own 4 children and whilst on maternity leave I began to think of how I could balance work and family life whilst also satisfying my skills set, so Glo-Babies began to really take shape.

What we do

Our weekly sessions offer a musical and sensory experience with a theme chosen in line with the EYFS framework with the aim of enhancing the participants development, social skills and early enjoyment of learning.

Illuminated props, toys and instruments are added to enhance the sessions and helps to provide an environment that is both calming and a relaxing ambiance for the adults so they feel welcome and in no way self conscious. . The use of Makaton signing is incorporated to encourage early development of speech.
