Last night we went for an evening out to The Open Arms at Warwick Castle. It’s a socially distanced Beer Garden and Street Food Market hosted by the wonderful Digbeth Dining Club.

When booking we had to choose a time slot to arrive at our table. It’s a measure put in place to help control the amount of people arriving to the event at any one time. It really worked as it didn’t feel busy on arrival at all.

On each table you are allowed 6 adults if you are from the same household or 4 adults if you’re not.

When we arrived it had been really raining and staff were wiping all the tables and benches down with giant squeegees so we didn’t get wet bums. We were so lucky with the weather for the rest of the evening. The forecast hadn’t been great all day so we had our waterproofs packed.

Each event has different caterers so no weekend is the same.

The boys had a giant hot dog from FAT SNAGS which they loved. Jude even went back for a second helping!! I have no idea how as the sausages were huge. I opted for Cheese and Bacon loaded fries from Disco fries cateringand my husband had Halloumi and Chips from The English IndiaFor pudding we had the most amazing cheesecake from Urban CheesecakeWe didn’t get to try anything from Leave it to Esmiewhich my husband is gutted about as he was hankering after a burrito.

All the food was really really good and we loved that we could all have something different. Prices were on a par with what you’d expect to pay from food vendors.

Under 18’s were allowed on site until 9pm but obviously must be with an adult.

Here’s the bit that isn’t so great - tickets are completely SOLD OUT for the event at Warwick Castle (which we’re gutted about as we’d have gone back) BUT tickets are being released at midday today for the same thing in Coventry Cathedral ruins.
